Masala Pulagam Recipe Preparation Method

Well, last Saturday we tried of some delicious recipe called "Masala Pulagam". Really we all loved it. Of course it is good for health too. 

Masala Pulagam recipe is very popular dish in rayalaseema districts with combination of palli chutny. Some people would like to cook it without masala whereas others like to cook it with masala. Either of the way is awesome. 

You should taste it !!



Ingredients:

·       Pesarapappu (Green Split Moong dal)   - 1cup
·        Rice                -1/2cup
·        Bay leaves         -2
·        Eailchi               -1
·        Shahijeera        - A Pinch
·        Dalchini                   - 1
·        Lavangalu (Cloves)         -2
·        Diced onions    -1cup
·        Green chilli       -3
·        Ginger garlic paste  -1tbsp
·        Turmeric               -1/2tbsp
·        Salt                        -As per required
·        Coriander powder  -3tbsp
·        Red chilli powder    -1tbsp
·        Oil                        -3btsp

Masala Pulagam Recipe | Moong Dal Rice Recipe


 Preparation Method:

Step1:

First, in a rice cooker, soak 1 cup of pessara pappu (moongdal),1/2 cup of rice in 3 cups of water.

Step2:

Next in a pre-heated pan,  add oil,sliced onions &green chilli and mix it until the onions turns to gold color. 

Step3:

Next, add ginger garlic paste, salt (as per required),red chilli, turmeric, and coriander powder. Cook it for 2 min in low flame.

Step 4:

Finally, add above prepared mix to the soaked rice and cook.
