Gongura mutton recipe in Andhra style
Mutton gongura recipe is India's famous non-veg recipe. This is made up of Mutton (lamb meat) and Gongura leaves. we can't express this Mutton gongura taste in words. really it is awesome. Most of the andhra people like to have it on traditional days. we can preserve it for up to 10 days. this is best combination for rice or roti. Here in this post i am explaining that how to make Mutton gongura recipe in easy and simple way.
A lamb curry spicy with distinctive taste is the main ingredient is gongura sorrel (gongura leaves )
INGREDIENTS TO PREPARE MUTTON GONGURALamb meat (Mutton) cleaned and cut into pieces - 1/2kg
Gongura - 200g
Turmeric powder -1/2tsp
Salt to taste
Garlic cloves - 10
Cloves (lavangam) - 4
Green cardamom (ilaichi) - 4
Chopped Ginger - 1/2inch
Cooking oil - 3tblsp
Bay leaves - 2
Cinnamon sticks - 1 large
Onion chopped - 1 large
Curry leaves - 1 stem large
Ginger garlic paste
PROCESS TO PREPARE GONGURA MUTTON:A . Boil the mutton and ginger garlic with a little salt in a pressure cooker.
2.Now in a pan heat oil .
3.after oil heat add all spices in to that pan .
4.When they start to splutter , add the ginger garlic paste , green chillies and onions.
5.Cook until it becomes pink , then add the leaves gongura , curry leaves and all the ground spices and salt.
6.Cook until the oil is separated from the mixture .
7.Now add the meat and cook for five minutes they are well-packed with spice paste .
8 . Then add water for curry and boil until it thickens .
9.Garnish coriander or fresh mint leaves and serve with rice .
